Merry Christmas!

December 25, 2013
Jesus Christ is the Spirit

Every man must be a priest unto himself and his family and this is my sermon for the season………….

The fact that the Old and the New Testament are in the same book was already a major victory for the adversary. YHVH is not the Father. The Gnosts called him the ‘Demiurg’, a pseudo deity. The stories about genetic engineering in the Garden of Eden by some advanced alien are also more credible than the classical interpretation.

The ‘god’ of the OT is Christ’s enemy.

The story of Jesus’ life in the Gospels are not tenable and a mishmash of older legends and astrotheology.

However, the NT is still the most profound and important book that humanity has when it comes to spiritual truth.

Jesus Christ, the Prophet of the Spirit

Jesus was a prophet. I’ll go even so far as to say the most important of all, as he incarnated the Spirit like no one before did.

This was well known during his time, but the texts were corrupted and only around 340 the Bible was compiled. Many important texts were left out. Even more texts were ruthlessly surpressed by the nascent Vatican, coming back only the last few decades, with the Dead Sea scrolls and the Nag Hammadis.

By then the adversary, temporal power, had subverted the story, claiming Jesus was the Son. But Jesus, to my mind, makes quite clear the Spirit is the Son (God Immanent). The Father is God Transcendent, he’s not in his creation.

This can still be gathered from the NT, but only if you free your mind from the mind control.

For instance, the first verses of John are quite clear. They’re the most important ontological verses in the Bible:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

A little later John goes on to say that the Word incarnated in Jesus.

Paul, also, on one or two occasions says ‘Jesus Christ, who has made everything’, clearly indicating it was not about Jesus the man.

The Spirit pervades creation and is not only the light of men, but of all life and indeed, anorganic matter. In this way pantheism is a subset of Christianity proper.

This whole story about Jesus the man being the Son of God is nonsense. Jesus says: ‘come to me and I will give you peace’. But how can we come to a dead man? But if you realize that ‘I’ is the Spirit, because that was who he truly was, than everything is clear.

Jesus says: he who knows Me has eternal life. But how can we know a dead man? The Spirit is in our heart, though, and knowing it means knowing what is Unchangeable and Eternal.

All the Gospels get a completely new meaning when you read them again, realizing ‘I’ is the Spirit and not the man when Jesus speaks. This is particulalry the case with the fourth Gospel, which is the most important one.

It was only after realizing this that I truly started to admire both Jesus the man and the Spirit and started to identify with Christianity.

Jesus Christ, then, is the name of the Spirit and the Spirit is the real God of the New Testament.

By knowing the Spirit and, very important, doing his will, we can also come to know the Father, when the Spirit considers us ready. This is the mystical experience that holy men and women have reported throughout the ages.

I believe this is the secret ‘esoteric’ Christianity of all ages.

It’s also completely congruent with Buddhism and Taoism and much of Gnosticism too, of which Jesus the man was a crucial exponent.

Gautama and Lao Tse preceded Jesus and culminated in him as the Great Prophets of the Spirit. The three of them often play Whist in heaven, having a good crack about all the silly disbelievers they met in their day on earth.

This, in short, is how I look at these things.

Oh, I love the Gospels. Nowadays, anyway, I couldn’t stomach them for the longest of time.

They’re very profound, but only if one realizes the above, otherwise it makes no sense at all. But while the NT is nowadays my favorite book, with a special place for Lao Tse in my heart too, I love all the religions. Not their exoteric tyrannical mind control, but their real message, which is still available for the thoughtful observer.

Having said that: I’m not happy with Judaism and, to a lesser extent, Islam, as they focus solely on the Father, and worse: on Law, which is antithetical to Christ. Lao Tse fought Law too, which was represented by Confucian thought in his day. But even Islam recognizes the Spirit (which it calls Fitrah) and says worshiping it is the real faith, adding, interestingly, ‘but the people don’t understand’.

Rumi and Sufis represent the Spirit in Islam.

Happy Birthday Jesus!
You were not born this day 2013 years ago. Christmas actually celebrates the Winter Solstice. But it does not matter, because it is about remembering you and what you represented: the Spirit, who created everything. Who is with us always. Who we can disobey at the cost of karma, and who we can obey to know hapiness and become legends of our own. All for good fun.

Help us crucify self and carry our cross, so we can transcend our carnal nature and become One with our maker!

Thank you for everything Jesus, because without you, we would not have known the Spirit and the Enemy would be winning!

Merry Christmas Everybody! May those of Good Will prevail!

Anthony Migchels … Of course X-mass is of the Babylonian mystery religion. No part of the faith once delivered to the saints. Martin Luther said “the Mass is a lie and a dangerous fable”
As for the rest of your tragicaly confused utterance about Jesus Christ : Most succinct way I can put it, is : you missed the part where he proved he was, and continues to be, the incarnation of the God of Israel, by coming back from the dead. Fulfilling the prophecy to his disciples, that he spoke “not of the temple, but of his body”. To Thomas he said “handle me. Does a spirit have flesh and bones, as ye see I have?” Eyewitness reports from the time are more than enough that Jesus of Nazareth actually overcame death, thus proving He is the God of the living.
You have yet to find out what authentic Christians know. But God loves you and there’s still time to change … if you can humble yourself

    • Nah Gordon. There is no proof at all that Jesus was resurrected. Nobody knows what happened, that’s the simple truth. Even the people that state Jesus never lived can make a plausible case.

The resurrection story proves just one thing: that people are completely obsessed with ‘body’. Clearly our body is nothing. Clearly it’s a total no brainer for God to ‘resurrect’ someone from the dead. It proves nothing. Just think about it! God has created EVERYTHING we can see, hear, smell, sense. Why is it any way ‘miraculous’ for God to ‘resurrect’ somebody?? Open your eyes! You’re dealing with the MAKER. The One, who created and continues to sustain billions of universes.

Perhaps there is something to the resurrection story. My hunch is it has something to do with the energetic body. With that which survives death. Taoist stories allude to advanced spirits ‘standing up from the dead’ in an energetic body. Fine. I’m an agnostic in that respect.

Our physical body is nothing. Our lifetime is nothing. Our universe is nothing. Thinking it is, is completely negating the greatness of the Spirit.

13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
        .
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
        .
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
        .
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
        .
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
        .
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
        .
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
        .
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
        .
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
        .
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
        .
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

Rich Hindus do not help the poor, because they believe misery to be a just karmic reward for past actions. Interference would set these souls back even more.
Jews consider themselves chosen people, whose lives are worth infinitely more in the eyes of God than any non-jew’s.
Pagans of all kinds practised human sacrifice, by the same rethoric the ancient Greeks had their citizens’ rights not apply to barbarians.

Nowhere outside of Christendom is “brotherly love” professed with the understanding that your “brother” is your fellow human being, no matter his birth specifics.

Saying Christ is one prophet among others and that every creed basically amounts to the same, is a mistake.

It is a mistake also to conflate pantheism and monotheism, for a metaphysical understanding of religion shows how there are a handful of core beliefs which are radically incompatible :
    – Either God, the necessary being, permanent cause of all effects, is the universe itself, and every being is a fragment of this cosmic soul trying to regain its lost unity (Gnosticism, eastern philosophies, every politheism).
    – Or God is the creator, distinct from it’s creation, who wished the universe and its diversity into existence for us to bask in His love and wisdom.
One is immanent, tragic, and asks us to negate our individuality to be part of a whole.
The other is transcendant, loving, and wants us as personal friends.

Please do not be abused by superficial ressemblances and propagate the synchretic new age belief that all religions should put their differences aside and merge into one.
They are not the same, and merging them comes at the cost of negating that which makes each its own.

If you want to follow Christ, be a Christian.

    • I agree Ole.The Cross of Christ represents another significant difference in that God’s love for us was made manifest.

Like I said: Jesus is the greatest, of all the holy books the NT is the most comprehensive in spiritual truth and its relevance for today, including the many prophecies, is uncanny. That’s why I relate to Christianity more than anything.

Jesus himself would have been horrified to hear people worship him! Look what he told his friends: ‘why do you call me good? Only God is good’. He also told us we would do bigger things than him. Obviously we cannot do bigger things than God and therefore Jesus the man is not God.

‘I am the Truth, the Way’: that’s the Spirit speaking, not a man. A little meditation will validate this quickly, if you dare questioning the belief system that you were programmed with.

Hinduism is very much about the brotherhood of man, by the way. Just as John writes, Hinduism maintains that everybody has the divine spark (atman for them). therefore all people are part of the great family.

    • By the way: you don’t understand the quote I gave of John 1:1-4.
The Word (Jesus Christ) created everything, not the father. Obviously the Word did our Father’s bidding, that much is clear. The Word IS in creation. How can he not, if he’s the light of men (and everything else)?

Thus pantheism is real, it’s just not complete, because the Spirit (Jesus Christ) is the Son and there is the Father too.

Jesus was a lawgiver, where his laws obey universal principles to free man from tyranny – and he overturned much of the falsehoods that had come before.

    False laws allow rents.

Pharisee law is a vertical power pyramid, where the administration state is religion and government in alignment. Mankind keeps recycling these vertical pyramids whether they be today’s hidden money powers, or administration states like communism, fascism, theocracy and even some kingdoms.

It is not so much the law, it is the righteousness and wisdom of the laws – that said laws obey proper universal principles.

    From Arthur Kitson on Law:

During the course of this investigation, we have seen that the one great obstacle opposing economic advancement, is law. No matter what may be the special branch of our investigation, no matter how much the righteousness and wisdom of a certain line of action may be demonstrated, in our progress we are invariably brought to a final standstill by the lawmakers’ edict, “ Thou shalt not.”

We have seen that the precariousness of supporting life, that which causes most of our anxiety, and raises the question in the minds of millions whether life is really worth living—in fact, that which necessitates economy, is the scarcity of subsistence. And we have also seen that the tendency—nay, the economic goal of civilization—is to increase these means, bringing them nearer to Nature’s gifts ; in the language of Adam Smith, “ to enable the people to provide a plentiful revenue for themselves.” In short, the object of economics is to abolish scarcity, so far as the means of living are concerned. We have also seen that the evils of our monetary system may be summed up in that one word, scarcity, a condition arising solely from the operation of restrictive laws—laws which give to the few absolute power over the lives and fortunes of the masses. Commerce is, in fact, constantly ground between two millstones, the upper being the law compelling settlement of debts in legal tender, and the lower the law which restricts this tender to a particular commodity or certain quantity wholly insignificant in amount to meet the necessities of business.

  8. Wow Anthony, I don’t know where and how you got this different gospel and syncretic “christianity”, but you’re totally confusing things. You should read “Two Powers in Heaven” by Alan Segal (a rabbinic scholar/Judaist) and watch Michael S. Heiser lectures/sermons on youtube, both expounding on pre-Jesus Christ Hebrew/Judaic beliefs in Binitarian/Trinitarian Deity based on the Bible and other ancient Israelite and non-Israelite literature. Segal was not a christian while Heiser is.

Judeo-Christianity is literally unique and incompatible with other beliefs that preceded and succeeded it. Trying to combine it with others or believing it’s just a facet of the One true belief is an exercise in futility.

    • Both Judaism and Christianity are unique and incompatible with each other.

You can have a Jewish culture and religion or a Christian one.

    • Christianity is 100% compatible with Taoism, there is no doubt in my mind about that. If you read John in the way as I propose (where everything Jesus says is actually coming from the Creator, the Spirit, directly) then there can be little doubt about that.

I hate this ridiculous universalism of Christianity (and all other exoteric religions). People claiming Christ or whoever is the only one are always telling people they will burn forever if they don’t submit to their beliefs. They never listen to what the other has to say, to see if it’s perhaps the case he’s using different words for the same thing.

I have listened to Lao Tse, as I have to Buddha, Krishna and Jesus. There is absolutely zero doubt in my mind they are all talking about the same thing. They even all call it the same: ‘unchangeable and eternal’ are two words that all prophets have used to describe the spirit.

  9. Thank you for this, Anthony. It is very much the way I feel about the “Bible” and Jesus.

Paul distinguishes between “the Law” and the law of the spirit of Christ Jesus. One is dead wording, written in a dead book (supposedly by the Jews). The other is in the heart.

I had this very conversation with a nephew eating Christmas dinner yesterday.

  10. This may be your interpretation of the Gospels but from the Christian perspective this is complete heresy. There is no contradiction between the Old and New Testaments of the Bible; Christ did not reject anything in fulfilled the laws and covenants of the latter.

Also Christ is not the same as any other god, especially those within the new age. The devil has many visages that are designed to fool the unfaithful and unwary. “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘There He is,’ do not believe him. “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.” Matthew 24:23-24.

For those that wish to get an in depth understanding of the new age movement from its inception to the current day, I highly recommend two of Constance Cumbey’s works: The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow; The New Age Movement and Our Coming Age of Barbarism http://www.scribd.com/doc/98278149/The-Hidden-Dangers-of-the-Rainbow-The-New-Age-Movement-and-Our-Coming-Age-of-Barbarism ; and Constance Cumbey – A Planned Deception the Staging of a New Age Messiah (1985) http://www.scribd.com/doc/117898961/A-PLANNED-DECEPTION-FULL-BOOK

There is also an excellent documentary that shows the real practice of the new age religions in their host countries and how this contrasts with its benevolent presentation in the West. “Brainwashing – gods of the New Age – New Age Satanic Religion Exposed” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lT4w-0Wxg4o

    Merry Christmas!

    • The OT aside pm, what do you consider heresy? Do you deny that the Christ is within? I know many christians have difficulty with that idea, but John 1:4 (see above) is quite clear: the Word (Jesus Christ) is the light of men.

      • I only consider comparing Christ to any other god heretical. There is only one God and its more than misleading to state that other the gods in the new age religions are just different names for the same God. New Age gods are false and should not be worshipped or meditated upon in prayer — that is if you wish to remain a Christian.

Otherwise, I like your reflections on the immanence of the Word of Jesus Christ. It is only by the gift of grace that we know Him. Aquinas called it the “light of Glory”, or the elevation of the intellect and spirit to God in a personal ineffable experience.

        • Alright. I agree there is only one God, of course. But cannot he have many names?

          • No, because God told us how He is to be addressed in the Bible. It is also how people are deceived into worshiping evils spirits masquerading as God. Buddha, Tao, ect. are not names for the same Christian God but for the devil. This is orthodox Christian belief.

          • well, it’s orthodox Church dogma, but is it the law of the Elders or the Spirit? What has been the result of this approach? It’s the same with the Muslims, who claim they must conquer the entire earth for Allah and only then can there be peace.

But if all the Gods of all religions claim their God has created everything, is it not really very likely that there is only one God and many names for him?

The only reason people assume the Bible is God’s word is because the Bible says so. Surely this is a circular reasoning and you would never accept such a thing when we discuss money, so why do you do when it comes to the Bible?

The easily verifiable historical fact is that some bozo’s got together at some point, drank a lot of expensive wine, screwed some hookers, argued for hours and then said: here, we’ll put these books in the bible and we’ll burn all the other books so nobody can later check whether we did right. Also, since our hookers were paid for by some rich dudes, let’s take in account what they want us to decide.

This historically accurate description of these important events may sound a little annoying, but it does seem to be what has happened.

I actually like Allah’s (Allah is Arab for God) take on this: he tells his people he has different books for different peoples and that as humans we cannot know everything and until we do, we must compete in righteousness.

          • There is a solemn and very sober history of Biblical scholarship that you are obviously and completely unacquainted with. There really isn’t any point is going further with someone that sincerely believes that the church fathers were a bunch of beatnik poets or that the New Testament is possibly the result of similar vice addled minds.

As for Allah I can only remind you that this god commands muslims to murder, plunder, rape and enslave their enemies — e.g., those that resist conversion to Islam. Just compare Christ’s “Sermon on the mount” and Islam’s “verse of the sword” to see the stark difference.

          • muhamad plagiarized the Christian Bible. So if there are similarities it shouldn’t be surprising. The muslims don’t like the New testament because they don’t recognize Jesus Christ as God. It’s not an insignificant matter which they have in common with the Jews.

There is no incongruity between the Old testament and the New Testament. Covenants made between man and God were fulfilled in the New Testament. I accept both both completely.

    • pm – thanks for the link to Constance Cumbey’s “The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow.” It was interesting and reinforced and clarified some of the things that I’ve been observing regarding the new age “religious?” movement.

No doubt, these new age charlatans and merchants of chaos owe a great deal of their success to the fact that most major traditional religions have been infiltrated and corrupted to the point of becoming irrelevant. I think most of us yearn for some spiritual awareness and fulfillment and we search which makes us easy prey.

To support this premise I ask why organized Christian religions do not challenge our continuous wars and crimes against humanity like torturing, using depleted uranium against civilians and random murder through high tech drones? These seem to be the new normal.

When was the last time that organized Christianity took a stand against usury and financial slavery? I think back to an article that a friend wrote entitled “The Coming Crash: Usury and the Irrelevant Church” and wonder how it could be that such an important message has been ignored. — http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/23067

“The many day-to-day issues can leave us dazed and confused, so most people ignore them. Huge mistake… They are all related to the most powerful force on earth that controls our lives because it is the very foundation of our society—usury.

“We are ruled not by governments anymore but by financial powers that use interest-bearing debt to exert control over governments, corporations, and people. Almost all other political issues with which we concern ourselves are secondary symptoms of or purposeful distractions from this larger narrative that is never reported by the Wall-Street-funded media. Sadly the church has remained silent as well.

“So is there a wing of the church that has not yet sold its soul? Is there a remaining Christian voice against usury, or are Muslims the only people in the world who stand against it? The church must wake up to the truth of our system and become relevant again. This is the civil rights issue of the 21st century… “

Most who believe in the various New Age religions are innocent dupes helping to usher in the NWO which is very much based on the old order called feudalism. Personally, I have very little confidence towards any one religion and a whole lot of skepticism towards all.

Never the less, I wish all a very Merry Christmas – silent night or solstice night – which ever you prefer.

      • My pleasure and well said, Larry.

Usury was falsely rationalized by Leo X if the interest wasn’t “excessive” and proceeds were given to the poor. Every pope that has failed to condemn usury as a mortal sin and economic injustice since has lead humanity to moral and economic hell.

      • Excellent Larry, I couldn’t agree more. Like a friend always says: religion divides, spirituality connects.

There can be no real dogma in spirituality, which is all about a personal relationship with our Maker. The idea that whatever religion has a claim to universal truth is ridiculous, in the face of the simple and all too true obeservations you shared.

X-tians have managed to give Christ such a bad name that honorable people now prefer to laugh over Jews pissing on him on TV.

The Bible is interpreted in such a way as to have everybody believing it live in fear. The oppressed are given bibles instead of bread and water, notwithstanding Jesus warning (in Matthew) people doing so would be like goats, sent to the left.

I’ll look into your friend’s essay, the title is promising enough!

    • Indeed, the Bible is not ‘the word of God’, Christ is. The bible (as all other books of Spirit) exists to bring us to Christ within. From there we can start to learn real truth, including how to interpret the bible itself. It was only after I started serious meditation that I started to understand the Bible properly.

You are on the right track Anthony. The New Testament was created to unite the diverse people of the Roman Empire into a one world religion. Jesus is a composite of many legends of antiquity. I have been researching the historical era in which Christianity emerged and all roads seem to lead back to Philo Judaeus of Alexandria, the Jewish philosopher who wrote numerous volumes in Greek and is primarily responsible for mixing the Hellenistic philosophies of Pythagoras, Plato, Aristotle, the Stoics and he Magi with the religious teachings of Moses and Hillel. This mixing of ideas resulted in the rise of the Nazareans, Ebionites, Gnostics and Christian sects. All of these movements appear to be inspired by the writings of Philo.

He drew over to him many Jews, and also many of the Greeks. This man was the Christ. And when Pilate had condemned him to the cross, upon his impeachment by the principal man among us, those who had loved from the first did not forsake him, for he appeared to them alive on the third day, the divine prophets having spoken these and thousands of other wonderful things about him. And even now, the race of Christians, so named after him, has not died out.

This story would not have pleased them in the slightest. He would hardly have included it if it were not true….”

  15. I will add my two cents to this. This universe is entertainment for someone we call God. It may make more sense if you consider that our current technological developments seem to make it possible to build simulations similar to own universe within 100 years. Now it gets interesting as we have two options:
    1. it probably will happen in the next 100 years;
    2. it already happened.

Assuming that the time before us is unlimited, and the next 100 years is a limited timeframe, we arrive at the conclusion that we must live in a virtual reality. I have tried to explain my point here, and try to show that we completely controlled by a programme:

    http://www.naturalmoney.org/virtualreality.html

So who is God and who was Jesus? Here it gets more dicey as this proposition is based my personal experiences in this simulation. But it makes sense in my opinion, as it explains the New Testament, the Old Testament, The Quran, and the contradictions between religions and artifacts sugesting that some of it has been based on myths:

Very good article. I think that understanding the Holy Spirit is crucial to truly understanding Christianity, and you did a good job articulating that important point.

However, I think there are certain dos and don’ts associated with the Holy Spirit that are essentially laws. The way I see it, Jesus shows us how to truly follow the 10 commandments and by following his Way (Tao), His will is done and the Kingdom of God becomes nearer. To put it in terms of Social Contract theory, in the Kingdom of God, the “general will” is undoubtedly Christ’s will.

The debate over whether the OT God is the same God as the NT God is an ancient debate. My opinion is that before Jesus, the Jews were breaking the 10 commandments and were not in line with the Way (for example, the soil of Israel became a false idol and Deuteronomy/Leviticus contradicted “thou shall not kill” in a few places), although they were trying. The Jews certainly felt quite justified while killing for their homeland. Of course, idolization of land and militarism are two of the oldest reasons for transgressing against the Tao of Christ.

For a few years now, I’ve been wondering what policies are most consistent with the Tao of Christ. For example, monetary policy, criminal justice, etc. Whether we believe that the second coming is a spiritual/philosophical event or if the second coming will literally see Jesus return in-the-flesh, if the Kingdom of God is a government (as the word Kingdom suggests), then it must have policies.

    To Mr. Migchels,

I would have you know that I am an Israelite, and I am NOT a Jew. Though my ancestors (the Israelites) of The Old Testament messed up The Torah (Judaism for example) it does not negate the purity of the Word of God (the “I AM”) found in the Old Testament which is actually a Covenant between God in Heaven and the people (Israelites) which might be you as well. If you deny The Old Covenant, then so be it. But, how dare you slander what I and others fight for on a daily basis, that which could bring down the NWO to its knees.

I used to have compassion for people like you, thinking it was merely a lack of knowing the facts. But even when the facts are presented, you still fight tooth and nail with idiotic statements about the Old Testament. Jesus showed the greatest compassion in The Way you may never understand. Common sense says HE WOULD NEVER usurp His Father.

You obviously do not read or understand what Jesus said about The Law of the Old Testament being restored and how He condemned people like you.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy The Law, or the Prophets: I am
not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one
tittle shall in no way pass from The Law, till all be fulfilled.
5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least COMMANDments, and shall
teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of heaven: but
whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the
    Kingdom of heaven.
5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall EXCEED [the
righteousness] of the lawyers and politicians, ye shall in no case enter into
    the Kingdom of heaven.

You have heard about Agenda 21? The Georgia Guidestones? That billions of people are to die (see Revelation), and I blame people like you who mix truth with lies and deceit in their stupid articles making a name for themselves whilst people (like me) stay oppressed. Those (like you and others) who attempt to understand and follow the New Covenant without The Old Covenant have not a clue on truth. The True Holy Koran as an addition to the Two makes it all complete.

I suggest you humble yourself Mr. Migchels. Take the time to read “Marriage Guidance”
    found here:- http://jahtruth.net/marguide.htm

    • Don’t worry about me not knowing about agenda 21, the Georgia Guidestones Debra. I know. I’ve also been perusing Jah’s site for almost 10 years now. Which is something else than fully agreeing. Still, Jah is one of my favorites, he’s a warrior, a man, a prophet even. Still: I cannot reconcile Jesus with the Old Testament. I can reconcile him with bits and pieces of the OT, but not its entirety.
Jesus Christ is the Spirit, God Immanent, the Son. Is YHVH the Father? I don’t think so. I think Jesus eloquently danced around Law, which was his enemy, but he had to deal with the people of his time and their simple minded beliefs.

It’s always good advice to tell people to humble themselves. It’s good advice in particular for me, a very limited man, just using his own brain to perceive bits and pieces of reality. I don’t know, I only hypothesize.

what makes you such an authority?

      • 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall EXCEED [the
righteousness] of the lawyers and politicians, ye shall in no case enter into
        the Kingdom of heaven.

as you so correctly quoted: Law is getting us nowhere but to a starting point.

      • Tom Reubens permalink

I do think it is wrong to claim that “The ‘god’ of the OT is Christ’s enemy,” although I think it is fair to say that Christ had a problem with how God was being interpreted – hence the conflict between Christ and the chief priests and teachers of the law.

I see Christ as one who came to reconcile the descendants of Adam and Eve (i.e. all of humanity) – that’s my opinion. We all inevitably interpret texts when we read them, so I don’t expect that people will ever completely agree on theological matters. However, I think it is important that we don’t let our theological disagreements undermine this spirit of reconciliation or the spirit of universal love for our neighbors (even our enemies).

Unfortunately, this is easier said than done, especially when we are angered. When someone’s words or deeds anger us, our anger makes us feel justified in repaying mean words with mean words, or mean deeds with mean deeds. When we are angered, that is when we need to self-reflect the most (in order to take then splinter out of our eye so that we may see more clearly).

“The one that angers you, controls you.”

“Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intention of throwing it – you’re the one who gets burned.” (Buddha)

The Purpose of Law and Grace – [the reasons for the old an new covenants]
          .
          By Dr. Stephen E. Jones
          .
The purpose of the divine law is to set the standard for right and wrong. In other words, the law defines sin. It was never meant to save or justify anyone except those who are sinless. Since “all have sinned” (Rom. 3:23), it is plain that the law cannot be used for purposes of salvation. Yet it still retains its usefulness in informing us of what God thinks sin is. “By the law is the knowledge of sin,” Paul says in Rom. 3:20……….
          .
          Rom. 6:18 says,

“18 and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 22 But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome eternal life.”
          .
We were not saved to be lawless; we were saved to become slaves of righteousness and slaves of God through Jesus Christ. Those who understand this will neither continue wilfully sinning, nor view the law as a religious artifact from a by-gone age. They will see the law as a revelation of God, full of life and possessing prophetic meaning that has yet to be fully understood.

  19. Dear Anthony: Try reading the Old Testament for its gems. Keep a yellow pencil nearby, and highlight the teachings in it that are absolutely beautiful. Begin with a book like Proverbs, in which you will find yourself marking almost every verse. FInd, in the OT, those teachings of Biblical Social Justice, of mercy toward the poor, of kindness, of a pure heart. Read about the magnanimity of Joseph, the humble devotion of Ruth. Read,in Deuteronomy, the commandments about not gleaning to the edge of the field, and of treating strangers with tolerance and hospitality. Dig out these gems until you have a bag overflowing with them. Remember the doctrine of Progressive Revelation, such that when the people of Israel were ready, God could say to them things such as, “I require mercy, not sacrifice.” The Old Testament is 4/5 of the Bible and Jesus referred to it constantly, as did the apostles. I am a Christian, but recognize that the beginnings of my faith are found in the teachings of the Old Testament. I have known Jews who literally were willing to give me the shirt off their back (on a cold night, out on a boat). We must love them, and the things they rightly hold precious, as well as those of people of other faiths. We know we are to love our neighbor as ourselves, but we never know the belief system our neighbor will turn out to have. -Keith

Do not withdraw yourselves from others as if you were already justified, but coming all together into one place, inquire what is agreeable to and profitable for the beloved of God. For the Scripture says, Woe to them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight.

    • Not to worry Debra: we are saved by faith in the Spirit, not in dogma. The Spirit does not mind us speculating a little about this or that, as long as it is with good intentions, aiming to improve ourselves and at least not hurting others.

Everybody ruled by self is part of the NWO, so I fear that excludes no one.

I always love it when women tell me what my problem is. Fortunately the magnitude of my problems is only matched by the female’s desire to point them out.

I hope you’ll be back in 2014 to educate me further on the matter. Enjoy tonight and Godspeed!

    From somewhere proper: http://oca.org/orthodoxy/the-orthodox-faith/doctrine/the-symbol-of-faith/nicene-creed

    Nicene Creed
The Nicene Creed should be called the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed since it was formally drawn up at the first ecumenical council in Nicea (325) and at the second ecumenical council in Constantinople (381).

The word creed comes from the Latin credo which means “I believe.” In the Orthodox Church the creed is usually called The Symbol of Faith which means literally the “bringing together” and the “expression” or “confession” of the faith.

In the early Church there were many different forms of the Christian confession of faith; many different “creeds.” These creeds were always used originally in relation to baptism. Before being baptized a person had to state what he believed. The earliest Christian creed was probably the simple confession of faith that Jesus is the Christ, i.e., the Messiah; and that the Christ is Lord. By publicly confessing this belief, the person could be baptized into Christ, dying and rising with Him into the New Life of the Kingdom of God in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

As time passed different places had different credal statements, all professing the identical faith, yet using different forms and expressions, with different degrees of detail and emphasis. These credal forms usually became more detailed and elaborate in those areas where questions about the faith had arisen and heresies had developed.

In the fourth century a great controversy developed in Christendom about the nature of the Son of God (also called in the Scripture the Word or Logos). Some said that the Son of God is a creature like everything else made by God. Others contended that the Son of God is eternal, divine, and uncreated. Many councils met and made many statements of faith about the nature of the Son of God. The controversy raged throughout the entire Christian world.

It was the definition of the council which the Emperor Constantine called in the city of Nicea in the year 325 which was ultimately accepted by the Orthodox Church as the proper Symbol of Faith. This council is now called the first ecumenical council, and this is what it said:

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only-begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages. Light of Light; true God of true God; begotten, not made; of one essence with the Father, by whom all things were made; who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man. And He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried. And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; whose Kingdom shall have no end.

Following the controversy about the Son of God, the Divine Word, and essentially connected with it, was the dispute about the Holy Spirit. The following definition of the Council in Constantinople in 381, which has come to be known as the second ecumenical council was added to the Nicene statement:

And [we believe] in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. In one Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

This whole Symbol of Faith was ultimately adopted throughout the entire Church. It was put into the first person form “I believe” and used for the formal and official confession of faith made by a person (or his sponsor-godparent) at his baptism. It is also used as the formal statement of faith by a non-Orthodox Christian entering the communion of the Orthodox Church. In the same way the creed became part of the life of Orthodox Christians and an essential element of the Divine Liturgy of the Orthodox Church at which each person formally and officially accepts and renews his baptism and membership in the Church. Thus, the Symbol of Faith is the only part of the liturgy (repeated in another form just before Holy Communion) which is in the first person. All other songs and prayers of the liturgy are plural, beginning with “we”. Only the credal statement begins with “I.” This, as we shall see, is because faith is first personal, and only then corporate and communal.

To be an Orthodox Christian is to affirm the Orthodox Christian faith—not merely the words, but the essential meaning of the Nicene-Constantinopolitan symbol of faith. It means as well to affirm all that this statement implies, and all that has been expressly developed from it and built upon it in the history of the Orthodox Church over the centuries down to the present day.

Luke 6:27 “But I say to you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.”
        .
This passage grabbed my attention –
        .
        V. THE NEED TO HATE AND TO BE HATED
        .
Even in the 21st century, Israeli children are taught to sing “The Whole World is Against Us”(“Ha’olam Ku’lo heg’denu”). We have not only David M. Weinberg’s defense of the “shfoch hamatcha” prayer, but even Rabbi Meir Y. Soloveichik, “The Virtue of Hate,” First Things, Feb. 2003 (available online) (“When hate is appropriate, then it is not only virtuous, but essential for Jewish well-being”). Soloveichik is not a fringe figure. He is a member of an exceedingly eminent Orthodox rabbinical family. When he wrote the article he was resident scholar at the Jewish Center in Manhattan and a Beren fellow at Yeshiva University, and was studying the philosophy of religion at the Yale Divinity School.
        .
Note the words “essential for Jewish well-being.” The “virtue of hate” seems to come of a positive need to be hated. The widely-published Rabbi Dr. Dan Cohn-Sher-bok, professor of Jewish history at the University of Wales (Lampeter) and author of The Paradox of Anti-Semitism (2006), says in an interview with the Independent(U.K.), March 19, 2006 (available online) that: “Jews need enemies in order to survive. . . . [I]n the absence of Jew-hatred, Judaism is undergoing a slow death. . . . We want to be loved, and we want Judaism to survive intact. . . . [T]hese are incompatible desires. . . . Why do we endure? Because we’re hated.” (Emphases added.)
        .
Cohn-Sherbok says of a founder of Zionism, Theodor Herzl: “He warned that if our Christian hosts were to leave us in peace for two generations, the Jews would merge entirely into surrounding races.” Id. Herzl also wrote in his conclusion to Der Judenstaat (1896): “Universal brotherhood is not even a beautiful dream. Antagonism is essential to man’s greatest efforts.”…..

Thanks for the link. It appears that he knows the subject extraordinarily well.

As I see it we are our own worst enemies, in a sense our adversaries are not to be blamed. Re the quote of Anthony’s a couple of posts back – “For in my place, I know that they would do the very same.”
            .
“And their adversaries said, ‘We have not offended,
Because they have sinned against the Lord,..”

            Jeremiah 50:6-7 (NKJV)
6 “My people have been lost sheep.
            Their shepherds have led them astray;
They have turned them away on the mountains.
            They have gone from mountain to hill;
They have forgotten their resting place.
            .
            7 All who found them have devoured them;
And their adversaries said, ‘We have not offended,
Because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice,
The Lord, the hope of their fathers.’
            .
Isaiah 53:6 “All we like sheep have gon astray; we have turned every one to his own way..”
            .
(John Turmel, Thoughts of a Rich Man on Usury)
So I’ll get down upon my knees and bless the Working Man,
            Who offers me a life of ease through all my mortal span;
Whose loins are lean to make me fat, who slaves to keep me free,
Who dies before his prime to get me round the century.
Whose wife and children toil in turn until their strength is spent,
That I may live in idleness upon my ten percent.
And if at times they curse me, why should I feel any blame,
For in my place, I know that they would do the very same.

    It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s The New Jerusalem.

When Christ’s Ship comes from the sky there will be no mistaking what it is. Described in the Book of Revelation, the Ship sounds to me like a Star on wheels traveling towards its destination; Planet Earth; more specific is Gibraltar. I’m not guaranteed to be invited on the Ship of Light, but am certainly hoping I will be. Chances are slim for the majority, of being invited aboard that is. What gives me hope about myself and a few others? That we have shown The Lord that we are able to learn to sing The New Song. Rev. 5:9; 14:3.

What is The New Song? It is a synthesis of The Old Testament (Covenant), which is the Song of Moses, with The New Testament (Covenant); and the Song of The Lamb (Jesus). Only the people who are able to learn to sing the New Song will be saved from what is in store (and coming soon) for Planet Earth. Heed not the opinions of idiots who disclaim in ignorance that which they cannot see and understand. Learn to “sing” the New Song now.
